Traveling to: Colombia - By Nicolas Becker de Souza

If you are looking for wonderful views, rich culture and adventures, Colombia is the perfect destination! Located in the northern tip of South America, Colombia is the second most populous country of South America, with about 50 million inhabitants. Here are some reasons why you should go to Colombia.

Wonderful views

Colombia is a beautiful country, which will surely enchant you with its beautiful and breathtaking views. One of the places in Colombia that fascinates me the most is the "Santuario de las Lajas", which is a sanctuaru with an impressive architecture and a spectacular view, and here are some pictures of it.

Culture

Music: Colombia is also known for its rhythmic and lively music! Many musical genres, such as cumbia and vallenato, are a significant part of Colombian culture. Cumbia is a mixture of African, European and indigenous influences, while vallenato is a very popular style of music in the Colombian Caribbean region. Very cool, right? Many Colombian artists are recognized internationally, such as Shakira, who is today the leading voice in Latin America, and whose success, as a result of her numerous hits and the impact her talent and relevance have had, has achieved such a level that continues to pave the way for other Latin artists.

Gastronomy: The cooking of this beautiful country is a true wonder for the senses. Plates such as Arepas, Bandeja Paisa, Almojabana, Lechona and many others are famous in the country. We cannot forget to include the Colombian coffee, which is recognized as being one of the world TOP coffees!

Dances: With its multiple cultural influences, Colombia is a country known for its typical musical rhythms and dances, which became very clear with the songs in the Disney production Encanto, a movie that explores the richness and the identity of the Colombian people.

Festivals: Colombian festivals are marked by joyfulness and festivity. Not surprisingly, some years ago, it was among the five happiest countries in the world, whose habits are reflected in feelings, experiences, and beliefs through the endless festivals, fairs, and carnivals that cross the national territory. The top five festivals are the Carnaval de Barranquilla, Carnaval de Negros y Brancos, The Carnaval de Cali, Flower Fair and the Vallenata Legend Festival. They are all amazing and fun festivals that I would love to attend! What about you? Let me know in the comments 😉!

Conclusion

Traveling to this beautiful land would be quite an adventure, wouldn't it? It is a very happy and very safe country, with many touristic attractions and a LOT more than I have told you about in this blog post! Get your backpack ready, because I am sure you will love it!
