Traveling to: Puerto Rico - By Lorena Cussolini Taveira
Welcome to Puerto Rico, a tropical paradise!
Before starting to present the particularities, cities and islands that belong to Puerto Rico, I decided to tell a little of the history of this country that I would love to visit.
Puerto Rico is a country located in the Caribbean Sea, whose capital is the city of San Juan and whose neighbors are the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Cuba. It's one of the largest islands of the Antilles that is closest to the South American mainland.
From Puerto Rico it is possible to visit all the other Caribbean islands, including Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin, U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas and St. John), British Virgin Islands and many others. The main language is Spanish, and because it is a colony of the United States, a good part of the population speaks English as a second language.
Puerto Rico is nicknamed as the "Island of Enchantment" It has captivated the hearts of travelers from all over the world for years with its colonial architecture, tropical climate, diverse landscapes and traditional cuisine
